Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar 2026: Charlotte Posner's Teatime Washbag

The countdown to Christmas has begun, and we're thrilled to share that Charlotte is back inside the Fortnum & Mason Beauty Advent Calendar for 2026. Hidden behind one of the doors is a brand new Charlotte Posner washbag, designed especially for Fortnum's and inspired by their famous tea.

A teatime design, made for Fortnum's

This year the collaboration is something a little different. The washbag carries Charlotte's new Afternoon Tea Pop Dolls artwork, created around Fortnum & Mason's tea. Her Pop Dolls take their place in full skirts with elegant teacups for heads, each one painted in its own pattern, from delicate florals to classic blue and white china. The design is inspired by the British ladies of the 18th century, who dressed in lavish gowns, gloves and hats for afternoon tea.

In Charlotte's words: "This time we've teamed up on something a little different: our design based around their gorgeous tea, bringing a bold, maximalist splash of colour to teatime. New print, same love of pattern and joy."

Like all of Charlotte's work, the design began as a hand-painted original, drawn with a traditional dip pen and ink before being finished in colour. It sits on a crisp white zipped pouch, so it's just as happy holding make-up and skincare as it is on show on a dressing table.

A partnership that keeps coming back

Charlotte has worked with Fortnum & Mason for several years now, and this is not her first appearance in the advent calendar. Last year her Glam Squad Washbag was tucked inside the calendar, and you can read the story of the 2025 calendar here.

For Charlotte, a teatime design for Fortnum's felt like a natural fit. Her love of afternoon tea runs right through her work, from her Tea Darlings Pop Dolls to the Tea at Ascot Washbag.

Save the date: 14 November

There's more to come from Charlotte and Fortnum's this Christmas. On Saturday 14 November, a brand new Charlotte Posner washbag launches exclusively at Fortnum & Mason, and Charlotte will be in the Piccadilly store, painting and signing. Keep an eye on our journal for the full reveal.
