The red version of Charlotte's Platinum Jubilee portrait, painted in 2022 to mark seventy years of service by Queen Elizabeth II. She is shown in one of the bold single-colour outfits she made her own, and red is the loudest of the pair.
The Queen was the first British monarch to reach a Platinum Jubilee. A subject who understood, better than most, that colour is a way of being seen from the back of a crowd.
