POP DOLLS GRAFFITI IN LEICESTER SQUARE
The past five years have been a whirlwind for London contemporary Artist
Charlotte Posner. Brown Thomas first launched her accessories and homeware
brand inspired to her iconic Pop-Dolls in October last year, NIVEA offered her
a collaboration to introduce their new deodorant, Louis Vuitton regularly calls
her for their exclusive VIP events.
Recently she has been commissioned to paint and decorate eleven massive breeze blocks in Leicester Square, Central London!
Charlotte is best known for her vivacious, vibrant and hand painted Pop Doll
series. A graduate in Fine Art from The Chelsea College of Art and Design, she
derives her inspiration from people, places and popular culture from all over the
world. Charlotte uses her art to transcend barriers that divide us and bring joy.
In 2014, the Artist created a Twitter storm with the launch of her Pop Doll
paintings. Coca-Cola, Walls, Kellogg's, Nails INC and Disney all
complimented the works and one piece later became the creative for the
Magnum UK social media platforms.
It is not the first time that Charlotte paints graffiti. In fact, in the past she
painted on street walls in several cities such as Lisbon, Miami, LA, Paris,
Dublin and, of course, London.
About her latest graffiti Pop Dolls Charlotte stated:
‘Street Art is a canvas for the public. You take Art out of the studios and I am so excited
about being in the busiest best location in London!’.
